Are You Thankful?

Cloth Diapers

Of course you are! But are you like me and often forget how blessed you are? Sometimes I can’t believe how ungrateful and selfish I can be.

My goal with All About Cloth Diapers is to bring you reviews and how-to information on cloth diapers, but I would also like to bring encouragement to your lives in other ways.

The fact that we have amazing children to even diaper is a miracle in itself. Hundreds of thousands of families spent Thanksgiving remembering or praying for children.

It’s at those times that I am grumbling because I have to change the third poopy diaper in an hour that I wish I would remember this reality.

Today I am reflecting on all the blessings in my life. To think about my life today compared to 4 years ago is astounding.

I encourage you, as we walk together in this journey of motherhood, to stop yourself the next time you feel under-appreciated, overworked and under-payed. As Americans and Canadians, we have been given so much more than the rest of the world. This certainly clouds our perception of “fairness”.

Today I wasn’t so great of a role-model for humility and unselfishness. But, tomorrow is a new day and I will do better by remembering what I have and what I could so easily lose.

I pray our journeys will be fruitful and our eyes are continuously opened to the many extraordinary blessings in our lives.

Thankful for 10 years of marriage!

How could I ever be ungrateful when I have this to look at all day??

How could I ever be ungrateful when I have this to look at all day??

Well said. I think that it is very easy to forget how blessed we are to be mothers (especially after being up all night!). But you are so right…even if we aren’t the shining examples we all want to be, we can always try again tomorrow!
