Want to join my laundry experiment?

by Autumn Beck on February 22, 2010

Come on! Who wouldn’t want to spice up their laundry routine?!
I wasn’t exactly looking for a change to my routine but while I was shopping on one of my favorite sites, Alice.com, I stumbled upon the True Green Laundry Washing Ball
I know what you’re thinking. Didn’t she try out a Laundry Ball about a year [...]

Do Your Cloth Diapers Have Stones in Them?

by Autumn Beck on January 31, 2010

I remember a couple of months ago a cloth diaper mama on Twitter asked what everyone did for “cloth diaper stones”? I had no clue what she was talking about.  Not that that is entirely surprising, I can’t possibly know everything there is to know about cloth diapers
Of course, as it always works [...]

Cloth Diapers Clean as a Whistle

by Autumn Beck on January 23, 2010

While I was on vacation this past week I saw a video posted on Facebook that I couldn’t wait to get home and share with you!
I don’t endorse any one detergent as “the” cloth diaper detergent.  However, Kim of Rockin Green Soap is doing a fantastic job of proving the efficacy of her formula.
Check out [...]

I ruined my cloth diapers!

by Autumn Beck on January 14, 2010

Well, perhaps “ruined” is a slight exaggeration.  After all, they are still usable.  So what’s wrong with them?
THEY’RE ALL PINK!!
And I have a boy.
But, they still hold pee and poop so all is not lost. However, that was no consolation to me the first 48 hrs after my disaster.  The Flip and Rumparooz inserts are [...]

Should You Buy Kissaluvs Antibacterial Pail Liner?

by Autumn Beck on December 5, 2009

YES!
What do we all want in a pail liner? I mean besides one that will magically wash and dry the cloth diapers that go in it We want it to be completely leak-proof, durable, roomy and for it to not fall into the pail when a diaper is dropped in.
Check. Check. Check. and [...]

Does Rockin Green Cloth Diaper Detergent Work?

by Autumn Beck on November 22, 2009

This past summer I introduced you to Rockin Green Cloth Diaper Detergent.  Kim kindly sent me some samples and I eagerly used them all up.  I was pleased: clothes smelled clean, cloth diapers smelled clean, no rashes occurred… two thumbs up.
However, after the samples were gone I went back to using my Kirkland’s Environmentally Friendly.  [...]

3 ways to ward off cloth diaper frustration

by Autumn Beck on September 26, 2009

Don’t feel bad.  Even the most die-hard, committed cloth diaper mamas reach the point of wanting to give it all up.
For the most part cloth diapering is merely another task like unloading the dishwasher or setting the table.  It’s just something that is done second nature.
But, there are those days when everything routine becomes a [...]

I had to bleach my cloth diapers

by Autumn Beck on August 11, 2009

UGH! I knew it would happen.  On Friday I packed a suitcase for my family of 6 to go stay overnight at my mother-in-law’s house for a family reunion on Saturday.  I changed Sterling’s diaper and tossed it in the pail.  Normally, I quickly walk away but this time I had a lingering thought…
“I shouldn’t [...]

How to Disinfect Cloth Diapers Without Bleach

by Autumn Beck on May 12, 2009

Lucky for us the world seems to be on an “all-things-natural” kick.  This means more information and more products available for us.
Every known manufacturer of cleaning products now offers a “green” alternative.  This is great when it comes to cleaning the bathtub, sinks and windows.  But what about the laundry?  How can we get a [...]

Many of you have sent me emails asking if I have tried Apple Cheeks diapers.  It seems that way down here in south Texas I have been missing out on a hit diaper up in the Frozen Tundra Canada.  Since my goal with All About Cloth Diapers is to bring you the information you want [...]
