I’m in the researching stage of CDing. So far I really like the idea of the one size AIO’s and AIT’s. I am going to try smartipants, bg 3.0, fuzzibunz, gro baby and soft bums. Which of these do you recommend for night time use. I really do not want to use prefolds or covers. Thanks!

Hi Autumn!! Thanks for all you do. I have a similar problem. I have CD 2 kids for over a year, my older one only wears a diaper at night. My 16 mo. old gets a horrible rash in cloth. I’ve done everything recommended to prevent it, and I’ve tried everything under the sun. Nothing works. I’m a lot like you, and I’ve done countless hours of research and talking to moms about CD. We use prefolds & pockets. No cream helps. We’ve resorted to just using disposables, b/c that’s the only thing that will help. However, we do know that sometimes the rash will happen in a sposie, too. But, even after using sposies for 2 straight weeks, we tried a prefold for 1.5 hrs, and when I changed her, she had a new rash…all in just that short time! Have you met others like this? Do you have any suggestions? I would really appreciate your help!!!

It’s possible that yeast is living in the cloth diapers and every time you put one on her it gets on her skin. The surest way to kill the yeast is with bleach. You may also opt to use Tea Tree Oil or Grapefruit Seed Extract in the washer.

    HElp!
I am struggling with diaper rash. I just switched to cloth diapers 2 days ago. My baby did not have any diaper rash until I started solids now she has one every few days. Do you have any pointers?
    Thanks,
    Ashlee
