Is polyester a good choice for cloth diapers?

I am planning on using Charlie Banana or FuzziBunz cloth diapers for my first child. However, when I told my mother that they are made of polyester she insists that they will be too warm for the baby because they are not made of cotton. Is this a good assumption on her part? Also, is polyester a safe material to be using on baby possibly for the 1st and 2nd years of life?

I don't know many other options for cotton AIOs since I am just starting my research. But, I came across BumGenius. Is this a good option or can anyone recommend another? My biggest concern with other brands is leaking issues because everyone seems to say CB and FB are the best fit.

I love the fit, colors and price but lately Camden has been soaking them! I think a lot of it is my fault by not changing him frequently enough. Usually I put one on first thing in the morning and that's when he does some major peeing lol

I can't say they are the perfect AIO but they are in my top 3.

This is my first baby and we are psyched about using cloth diapers - but even after all of my research - I am kind of confused.

I recently got a great deal on the BumGenius 3.0's in size small and medium so I purchased 12 of each. But that is it. I know that I may need more and am aiming to get several of the 4.0 OS, but my biggest question is "WHAT NOW?"

I am confused about inserts - do you need them for the 3.0's? Do you just need them at night?

They have several size inserts for the 4.0?

Can you use something else? I saw a youtube video where the mother was using microfiber dishcloths as her inserts... seems to work for her...

Whats the deal?

Just wondering if anyone has heard of Rumpsters? I acquired one at the Cottonbabies gently used sale and I absolutely LOVE it! Unfortunately, it was a NB/small and it no longer fits my 14 pounder. I have not been able to find any for sale and no one seems to have heard of them. If anyone has any info on how to get more I would be very grateful. Thanks, Kris

I've heard great things about Thirsties AIO, but read a review that they don't fit well on chubby babies. I don't have any AIO's and would like to try the Thirsties but wonder about the fit...my little guy is long, has a big belly and super chunky thighs. Any thoughts/feedback? Thanks!

what is your experience with this diaper? i love the fit, how trim they are and how cute they look, but they seem not to work very well for us. :(

they leak or start to wick around the legs after less than 2 hours. normally diapers last us at least 3 hrs. i use all inserts. after 2 hours all the 3 soakers/boosters are soaked completely. they have been washed way more than 10 times. i watched their video many times, to get the right fit around the leg. it all looks good.
and i have difficulties getting the belly tide enough, as there is not front elastic. it leaves a gap, which becomes a problem when he falls asleep in a tutto and during his nap moves onto his belly. it starts leaking of course.

it is just me with that problem?
