I went on vacation for a week and left my MIL with disposables. My daughter got a rash with the disposables and so my sweetest MIL went and got my cloth and used that instead. It helped the rash so I'm thrilled, but I hadn't given her any instruction on how to use cloth so among a few other problems, I have Desitin on my pockets and flats and possibly the microfiber soakers. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice on this one?

I'll probably just start with my normal stripping routine, which is a soak, a little dawn, and lots of rinsing. I'm wondering if I need to scrub the fleece or flats, or if boiling the flats or microfiber would help? I'm not sure what the damage is here or how to tell if it's still clogged. Anything you got would be super helpful. Thank you!

My pocket diapers are all repelling and leaking and I've tried a lot of things that haven't worked. I have stripped with dawn, tried lots and lots of rinses, and washed with Calgon several times (I have pretty hard water, and a toploader).
I use Hard Rock Rockin Green and have been in contact with them, and they've recommended at this point to just soak the diapers in hot water and then rinse them out a ton.

Honestly these diapers are not used that much -- 2 were brand new and probably worn less than 10 times before they started repelling and leaking. I can't be rinsing these diapers 20 times after wearing them a few times only. Does anyone think that I should try another strip at this point (maybe rocking a soak or using RLR or try the Calgon again)? And does anyone have any tips on how I can prevent this from happening in the first place?

Soft water + top loader --> vinegar soak
Soft water + front loader --> bathtub vinegar soak
Hard water + top loader --> RLR or Hard Rock soak
Hard water + front loader --> " " in bathtub

I miss my top loader!! It was so easy to fill the basin and let the diapers sit then drain and spin. Using the bathtub is a pain. I get cramps from wringing out dozens of diapers!

What additive has brought you most success?

I failed to mention what I do first before doing a soak. I try switching up the detergent to see if they just need a good cleaning. If I have been using a "green" detergent I use Tide and see if that helps.
