First off, we use mainly BumGenuis 4.0 AIO, KaWaii AIO, and Fuzzibuns cloth diapers.
We started cloth diapering our son at 3 weeks old and had no issues. Then when he turned 3 months old, he started to get a rash around his legs and right below his belly button. It would not go away with CJS butter(safe cloth diaper cream) and turned into a yeast infection. I switched him to disposables and it went away right away. Then I put him back into cloth diapers and he gets a rash after 1 day.
I change him every 1.5-2hours. I have not changed my detergent from before he was 3 months to now. I use ROckin green- cold rinse, hot cycle, cold rinse. The diapers have no stains, no smell.
I stripped them with dawn (the diapers started to leak)and that took care of the leaking but not the rash.
He is now 6months old and we went on a trip. We used disposables & it again went away right away and the day I put the BumGenuis back on, he got the rash again....
Does the rash occur with all the diapers or just BG? It sounds like you are saying just the BG and if that is the case he's probably developed a suede cloth allergy (my 3rd child had this and 4th for a brief period).
Are the diapers soaked when you take them off?
If it was in fact a yeast rash did you take proper measures to kill yeast spores in the cloth? Grapefruit Seed Extract is what you'd use to do that.

We are using all three diapers mentioned & it does it for all three, but it never used to for 3 months. And yes he for surely had a yeast infection because the pediatrician said he did. I didn't know you were suppose to put that with the diapers after a yeast infection. Is doesn't hurt the diapers?
I know he doesn't have a yeast infection now, but the whole area that the diaper touches has a red rash. When I take the diaper off, you can see exactly where the diaper goes because of the rash. And it is really dark red where the elastic goes on the legs & the elastic on the top.
Oh, and sometimes his diapers are really wet but most of the time they are pretty dry when I change them!
