Newborn CDing

I am wanting to start my newborn stash but am not sure how to beging. My 17 month old didn't start using cloth until 14 months so this will be the first time around for using it with a newborn. Any suggestions? I did a rental with my daughter and I already know that my preferences are fitted, but I don't mind the prefolds.
