I have used Flip diapers on my son with stay dry inserts and always loved loved loved them...I started having leaking issues (first just at night time, then at nap time too, now leaks are anytime) but trudged on, but now I'm a little discouraged from the leakage :(
He's 10 months 22 lbs and I have them on the middle rise snaps with 4 snaps in between.
I chg before and after naps and once in between - so every 2 hours at least.
The leak usually occurs in the crotch- out the leg. Though at nap time it's up the tummy(he's a tummy sleeper). often the PUL is wet around the legs, and the stretchy fastener part.
The insert can get bunched up at the crotch or the folded part wiggles down out of the inner fold(if that makes sense)
They seem to be absorbing, but oftentimes the back of the insert is still dry when it's leaked.
I haven't ever stripped them.
I use tide free & clear.
Is it just a bad fit now that's he's more mobile? (Though I know several toddlers who do great with flip system. ) how would I prevent bunging at the crotch?
Should I strip to see if that's the problem even though the test seems to show they're absorbing?
I want to love my Flips again! Any suggestions are appreciated:)
