I had a wool cover just disappear (or so I thought) a couple of months ago. I just bought a new dryer and during removal of the old one, guess what turns up? Yes, my missing cover. I noticed there was something orange looking on it...still don't know what....but went ahead and washed and lanolized it. The orange did not come out of it...didn't even seem to lighten. At first I wondered if maybe it was some result of the wool cover getting hot while it had urine in it (I always let my used covers air out on a shelf above the dryer and I'm sure that's how it ended up behind the dryer) as the orange seems to be in the prime wetting area. But, anyways, even after lanolizing it leaks something awful. I used it one night with my 21 mth old dd who is not a heavy wetter at all and it leaked :-( I really don't think that any kind of substance could have gotten on it so I'm baffled. I've only had the cover since like Feb. of this year so I hate to lose it. Any ideas? Suggestions?
