How to Strip Detergent From Cloth Diapers?

Hi Friends,
My friend is having a baby and she is in battling a cloth diapers ammonia smell. Washing cloth diapers became a chemistry lesson for her. Cloth diapering is snuggly and sweet, a cloth diaper ammonia smell is more than nauseating, it can mean an acidic buildup that can cause diaper rashes. And, I want to help her regarding this problem. So, anyone having idea that how to strip detergent from cloth diapers, please help me and my friends.

Most people suggest several hot washes without soap first. I'm talking about 3-4 full wash cycles without any soap. Then if that doesn't help a soak in RLR or Rockin' Green's funk rock.Judi

I got bac-out when I had an ammonia smell and it worked wonders for us! Now I just add a sqiurt to the prerinse. Ive been doing that for a year and no stinkys since ;-)
