help.going cloth and this is my first child

i have a baby girl due in January.money is tight with only one income.price wise what is my cheapest cloth diaper option?leaning towards prefolds with snappi's and plastic pants.

We use GMD prefolds and they run between $30 and $40/dozen depending on the size. You need at least 2 dozen of a size, but 3 dozen gives us the perfect amount of breathing room. (It was not unheard of to use 16+ diapers in one day.)
When my guy was a newborn I liked the econobum covers best; when he was older I liked the thirsties sized covers and the duo wraps. We totally cleaned up on black friday sales at the diaper sites last year. Econobums were BOGO and Thirsties were 20% off.
