I love south Texas for many reasons and one is a very short winter. I love looking out my window and seeing roses and gorgeous purple Mountain Laurel blooms...but I hate that I have yet to do any pruning. My flower beds are overrun with Lantana skeletons and leaves from the Fall shedding! Terrible! There's just not enough time in a day!

We got a pretty good dumping of snow up here just yesterday. It was pretty much all gone before that and I could see hints of green in the grass till it got more white stuff over it.
Spring? yes, but did we ever have a winter? Here in Waco (central Texas), winter never really came. I think it actually froze twice, in November! I am hoping to put seedlings out next week (spring break).
