So my Peanut got a nasty, nasty rash on his bum after sitting in a poopy diaper for 10 or 15 minutes (seriously!). Now, just 3 or 4 weeks ago, he has a blister down there, that the doc declared was a yeast infection. So, we used the anti-fungal cream and it got better. I decided to try the anti-fungal on this rash, and wow -- looks better after 1 use. (and I used coconut oil in general for keeping his bum nice and supple).
I have used bleach to sterilize all the diapers, but I remember reading on your blog that grapefruit see extract is what will kill yeast spores. But which kind to get! On amazon, there are 65 results in the "health and personal care" department. does anyone have a particular GSE that they have used and like? That isn't too crazy expensive?

My little guy has the SAME exact rash/blister as you described in your original post Autumn! This is our first rash at 10 months. I've been using coconut oil, CJ's, and California Baby and the coconut oil and CJ's seem to be helping. My question is, how do you know when it's not just a rash and is a yeast infection? And I guess these blistery type sores are normal?? He's had a cold and been cutting teeth, so his poop has been different and more frequent than usual, so I'm pretty sure its because he wore a poopy diaper longer than he usually does :(. Thanks!
A yeast rash is usually more than just one sore. It would present as a many red bumps in the creases. Usually. Yeast is a booger in that it can present different. I've found that if I use a cream with Zinc Oxide (like Burt's Bees) it clears up after one or two applications. Then I know it wasn't yeast.
