It seems no matter what I stuff our pockets with (Kawaii overnight, Go Green Champ, FB OS), they leak at least 50% of the time when used over night. Anyone have a solution to that??
We use Kawaii overnights... this is how I stuff them for night time. one microfiber, some type of hemp doubler, another microfiber. Works great for us and I can not think of a time when it leaked off the top of my head. I have super soakers too. HA
I'm not sure if I'm over or under stuffing, how can you tell? I will put a Best Bottoms hemp doubler with a microfiber insert into a Kawaii Goodnights heavy wetter diaper, or a microfiber with two Thirsties hemp doublers since those are smaller. The funny thing is, I could use the same inserts in a Best Bottoms cover (doesn't fit him well though, seems too bulky and fits funny), and it doesn't leak! I just ordered a couple sbish fitteds to go under our wcw wool soaker for night...I ordered the snapless fitteds though instead of the sized obf's (didn't realize till after) so hopefully they will still work well for night time.
You will like the snapless multi. It's a great, versatile, soft diaper! You may have to add a couple of boosters (like a hemp on the bottom) but it is very absorbent on it's own.

I think I may have figured out at least part of the problem...I think it depends to a certain degree how many times he nurses throughout the night. Lately the teething has been pretty bad, so he nurses more...a lot more, and he nurses a lot at night to begin with. Last night we had a MAJOR leak...he was in a Flip organic insert with a Thirsties hemp doubler inside it with a fleece liner, all in a Flip cover. He went down for the night before I got him in many layers of hemp and microfiber inside a wool cover and we woke up at 5am in a very wet bed :(. But he was up half the night nursing. On a good night he wouldn't be eating and subsequently not peeing so much. Oh well.
Is there a "magic" order to put in doublers based on material?
Hemp is the slowest absorbing so you want it to be on bottom to absorb the slow overflow from the other fabrics. If you have it on top the hemp can't absorb fast enough and leaking occurs. Microfiber absorbs very fast, cotton and bamboo are quick too. I sometimes use a Kissaluvs cotton doubler and lay it on top of a Rumparooz mf 6r soaker. Or I will lay a bamboo doubler on top of any nighttime insert.
