I am going to be a brand-new mama in a few months (due June 1) and made the decision early on to be a cloth diapering mom. Thankfully, hubby is completely on board with me! Wading through everything and figuring it out, all while anticipating meeting our new son this summer.

Hi! I am a stay-at-home momma of 3 (soon to be 4) wonderful girls. We initially cloth diapered to save money, my husbands favourite part,and now it is an addiction for me with little "saving" hahaha. I am hoping this forum is as fantastic and helpful as Autumn's blog is.

I am a high school English teacher with a wonderful husband and one child, a one-year-old boy. We cloth diaper during the day with prefolds and covers and use disposables at night (little one has ongoing trouble with diaper rash, and attempts to use cloth at night have failed miserably, alas). I am specifically hoping to gain and share info about how to handle diaper rash.

I am a Christian wife and homeschooling mama to six amazing kiddos. I cloth diapered #2 and #3 and then took a break. Cloth diapering made huge strides and I started cloth diapering again when #6 was a toddler. Not the typical cding journey. :-)

I am the mother of a beautiful 1 and a half year old baby girl. Hopefully we will be a family of 4 within the next year. I work 4 days a week. We have an amazing woman who does daycare for our little one that is willing to use cloth diapers!

I am a stay at home mom (kind of) to a 16 month old little boy, and we are expecting our 2nd in June. We didn't find out what it is so it'll be a surprise! I am also a pediatric intensive care RN but only work every other weekend so I feel like a SAHM! I have just started cloth diapering a week ago (extreme newbie here!) and am still fighting the learning curve! Unfortunately, my hubby isn't a fan but hopefully once everything’s figured out and we have a system he'll see it isn't so bad!

lol, I do... Pampers! And when those run out, I have some BG 4.0's that he *could* handle. It's the poop-factor that's too much for him, not the actual diaper! But we'll see... and even if he never gets on board, I change the diaper 99% of the time anyways! I guess a few pampers every other weekend isn't the worst thing! :) Although I am very jealous of these momma's that have some CD researching/ all about it dads!!

You'll be amazed what a few months to a year will do to your husband. Before you know it he'll be suggesting cloth to friends and coworkers!

Wife to my Pastor husband and SAHM to 4 boys. My 2 oldest just graduated to full time dryness (Oldest is 4 yrs old) so I am now down to 2 in diapers. We EC part time with our youngest. I make a lot of our own diapers. We cloth diaper for financial reasons (though I must admit... Even though I make them myself cloth diapers are stinking cute!)

Howdy, folks --

I'm Rachael. I have a 9 1/2 month old little skinny boy who I have used CD with since he was about a week old. I knew I wanted to cloth diaper and Hubby loved the savings it allowed, so off I went. I got a slew of pockets and prefolds as hand-me-downs that got me started and I made a few pockets to round out the stash. I'm home full time with Peanut, and loving it! We are faithful church goers, former missionaries (before Hubby and I met each other), and total nerds. We hope to head back overseas when Hubby is near finishing his PhD. We are slightly "crunchy", but only because we are major tightwads.

I've really enjoyed the blog, so I look forward to getting to use the forum!

Hi- I'm Becca. First time mom to my precious baby boy- 5 months old! I stay at home with him, which is challenging and amazing all at the same time! Learning a lot everyday. God has blessed me with an amazing husband- he's pro cloth which has been awesome! We're pretty simple... love reading out loud together, don't own a TV, and love taking walks/jogs at the park.

My sister did cloth diapers (only person I knew at the time) and after seeing how easy it was, plus the huge savings (helpful since we wanted me to stay at home)... I was convinced! We were SOO excited to start, we went ahead and did a Newborn diaper rental and on day 2 we were doing it!! Prefolds and snappis and the whole bit!

Autumn, your blog was a life saver in trying to learn the cloth diaper world out there... Now I know tons of women who CD and I am trying to spread the word!

Hi! I'm a WAHM to a sweet 11 month old boy. We've CD'd since we got home from the hospital and will be doing it from day 1 next time. I've converted 2 mamma's to cloth but as hard as I try, can't get my brother & sister in law to switch for my 11 mth nephew. Boo!

We live in DFW but my parents actually live in Kerrville! It made me laugh the first time I saw your sydney baker address in the email newsletter :). Love your blog, it taught me a TON!!

Hi All,

I'm Michelle, and I am a FTM due May 11 with a baby girl. I'm a nurse, and my husband is a firefighter. We live in Florida and have 2 goldendoodles who are my first babies. No cloth diapers for them!

I showed my mom and my sister a picture of how many diapers a baby goes through in a lifetime and they showed interest in cloth diapering, so I brought over some of the ones that I had. Next thing I knew, they were ordering cloth diapers for my niece! They've been cloth diapering part time ever since (just a matter of keeping up with laundry I think). It's nice because I've been able to practice with her a little. ;;) They even had a diaper raffle at my baby shower where people could enter by bringing a cloth diaper. Between those and the ones I had bought on great sales, I think I have enough one-sized. Now, to just build a newborn stash.

Hello everyone. My name is Trisha and I am a SAHM to seven children, so I am a busy little bee. :bz My children range in age from 17 months old to 14 years old. I have four sons and 3 daughters. All of my children have been cloth diapered, but until my last baby we primarily used a prefold cloth diaper service. Since my latest baby was born I have learned about Snappis, different prefold folds, and that a host of new cloth diapering options exist. I have tried out many varieties now and am truly loving the origami folded flats. They wash up so nicely and dry so quickly. I know they are very old school, but they work so well! With my newest baby, I have also ventured into using cloth wipes. They have been working very well. I bought my minky/flannel ones on Etsy from JHoltonQuilts and love how easily the slide across my baby's bum.

Hi everyone. My name is Rachel... I just had my sixth baby after about a ten years of no babies. I started cloth diapering for savings, but seem to find too many cute diapers. Cloth diapering has helped me become more aware of our environment and we are in the process of become paperless in the house.... yes, even my older children are jumping on board. :)

Hello! I'm Brittany, I'm expecting my first girl around May 2. I've been planning on cloth diapering for a couple years now and have been slowly building my stash over the past year (I recommend that way if you can). I'm pretty close to everything I need.

My SIL and I are the only ones in the family to cloth diaper. Everyone in my family seems pretty supportive of it so far; although, I think deep down none of them think I'm going to go through with it. I'm excited to be a part of this forum where I can learn from the experts and prove 'em wrong! Thanks for starting it Autumn.

Hey! I'm Mary-Margarette and I CDed my oldest and kept my youngest in CD until my DH ruined a lot of my staff w/diaper cream. Now that my youngest is 2 1/2, I'm tired of buying pull-ups so I'm back to CDing! Also, I'm hopefully looking to be pg sometime in the near future and I want to completely CD the new baby :)

Hi Im Amie, Im expecting baby #2 any day now (EDD 3/27/12). My DH decied he wanted us to cloth diaper and I have to say after looking into it Im obsessed and cant wait to start, we have a 5yr old son who I potty trained in cloth so its not a completly new concept to me.

I'm Judi and I used a diaper service for my now 20 year old and the first few months with my 17 yr. old. Then we had numerous moves, disruptions and chaos that put us in disposables. I did some cloth and some disposable with my 17 yr. old and 13 yr. old and then did all disposables while we were apt. living with my 8 yr. old. My 6 yr. old was in both and my 3 yr. old has done both. We're currently in disposables only with the 3 yr. old since my dryer broke down and I can't keep up with the laundry as it is. We're getting a new dryer in the next couple of weeks and the 3 yr. old is going back into cloth and we're going to get him potty trained! We're having #7 in May and I plan on using cloth with her once the free disposables run out. We're on a super tight budget and I try trimming whatever I can from the budget. Cloth diapers are part of that trimming.

I'm Melissa and I am so excited to have found this forum. I am a homeschooling pastor's wife. I have 4 children ages 10y, 8y, 7y and 4months. I did disposables w/ my older 3 but for financial and "crunchy" reasons, i have switched to cloth with the fourth and I love it! We receive help from a great organization called Giving Diapers Giving Hope. http://www.givingdiapersgivinghope.org/ They accept gently used diapers to donate to families in need (like ours!) I don't have many friends who use cloth so I am excited to be able to share and ask questions here.

Hi, I'm Tara. I live in Florida (Outside Tampa Bay). I have an 8 month old son and have been cloth diapering since he was a few days old. I came across All About Cloth Diapers while I was pregnant, and it definitely helped give me the information & confidence to cloth diaper my son. I decided to stay home with my son, so I've recently become a WAHM by opening my own natural baby store-Half Pint's Baby Boutique.

Autumn, I love your new site and the set up of this discussion board. I think it will help so many who are experienced and new to cloth diapering. I have come to love how supportive the cloth diapering community is! I'm so thankful that I made the decision to cloth diaper. It was a decision that really changed our lives, even though I didn't know it at the time! I am Ellen from Connecticut and am the mom of twin almost 6 month old girls. We use Flips and love them! We started them in the Flips when they could fit! They were in the NICU for several weeks, and were too small for them until about 2.5 months. I have only used disposables twice since starting CDing. My girls are with my mother during while I'm at work, and she has just switched to the cloth too. She's awesome enough to send me home everynight with a bag of dirty dipes.
They only thing we are working on is the wash routine. Since they are starting solid food, I feel like my dipaers are coming out of the wash a bit smelly.... Been trying to find a good solution.

Good morning! I'm Carrie in Lincoln, Nebraska. Expecting a baby boy in August and so excited. My husband and I have decided to go cloth after a lot of reading. I can definitely say I am very overwhelmed and want to make sure with everything I've read I'm making the right decision. Flip. I'm choosing Flip. However, I'm so lost on how many sets I need...can I use other pre-folded or single inserts inside the flip reusable diaper cover?

I'm Lisa and I live in NW Iowa. I'm a college physics professor and my husband is a HS teacher and coach. My husband said he wanted to CD a year and a half ago when I was pregnant with identical twin boys. I thought he was crazy! I wasn't sold on it but knew he'd win. Sadly our boys arrived at 25 weeks due to TTTS and both passed away when they were a week old. Now I'm 33 weeks along with our rainbow baby and I've been on bed rest for the last 3 weeks. I've been looking into CD a ton and am getting excited. I think we're going with Flip. I need something simple because we are both quite busy.

Will be a new Grandma in October and need to sell my daughter on cloth diapers. Way back when I used prefold, pins, snap rubber pant and I washed them all myself. I even had twins, preemies. I seem to recall 12 dozen diapers! No diaper service where I lived! These new fangled diapers confuse me. Velcro, inserts? Where are the rubber pants? Explain to me how this all works so I can sell it to my daughter.
