Do you use RnG? Do you like it? I'm using Country Save right now and like it just fine but wanted to give RnG another try. I'm also going to order some hard water test strips. I have a water softener for our very mineral rich well water. I'm curious if the softener does much.

I am using it right now. I guess I feel neutral. I still can't get rid of the ammonia smell in my dirty diaper can but I'm not sure that will ever go away.

I had build up/ammonia smell from using Tide, so I rocked two soaks back to back and all seems well. I think I'm going to rock a soak once a month from now on and use Tide for my day-to-day diaper laundry. The RnG is great for ammonia, but not great on stains in my normal to slightly hard water.

I agree with Erin ang RG. I am neutral bc it cleans my diapers but I agree that I'm not sure they get rid of the ammonia. RnG has a special product (Funk Rock) for that, which I guess is good?

Incidentally, I had some questions about prepping my Grovia's so I sent them am email. I asked why RnG wasn't on their recommended detergent list and they said it's bc too many of their customers have had premature wear and It's a very harsh detergent to the point of being corrosive - yikes!! So I went and bought Country Save. Autumn - I know you don't really use Grovia's but FYI for others.

I did the Funk Rock treatment more than once and I still have ammonia smell in my pail and often as soon as I undo the diaper...this is so frustrating!

I ordered test strips and my water softener is doing it's job. So I'm sticking with Country Save for now and when I have problems I just do extra extra extra rinses.

Hey Autumn - I have soft water and a front loader. I just bought Country Save so curious what issues you've had with it???

Autumn, is country save likely to give me issues with soft water? What issues did you have? We have a front loader and soft water. I just use the 1/2 scoop for two days worth of diapers (roughly 6-7 covers and 12-14 inserts).
