diaper rash and cloth diapers
Could you try a different cd? Say, large square of terry cloth or flannel or soft cotton as a flat or pick up some gerber prefolds at Walmart? Just to try and see if baby girl still reacts. Might be something in the fuzzibunz diaper, or it might be …

If the blisters are going away while using sposies, might it be something with the cloth? Perhaps a fabric allergy/sensitivity? Goodness, I can think of a slew of possibilities, but you might have worked through those before. Such is life sometimes…

How do you make prefolds and flats work at night?
I have a night time system that works and uses prefolds and sometimes flats, but in a pocket -- I like the stay dry layer the pocket provides. It gets bulky, more so than with my bamboo and microfiber inserts, but it works.

I'm wondering what brand of GFSE and Teatree oil did you use? Nutribiotic seems to be the most common brand of GFSE, what concentration are you using? There seems to be even more brands of teatree oil. I have some bath and body works teatree oi…

Snappi or Pin? What do you use?
boingo looks interesting. snappis don't work with tighter woven prefolds, so I'd be interested to find out if boingos work better.

We also use coconut oil, which works great, but Peanut was diagnosed with a yeast infection several weeks ago. I think it might have reoccurred, even with bleaching the diapers. What brand, style, etc of GFSE have you used? I've read that is th…

Horrible open sore rash!
So my Peanut got a nasty, nasty rash on his bum after sitting in a poopy diaper for 10 or 15 minutes (seriously!). Now, just 3 or 4 weeks ago, he has a blister down there, that the doc declared was a yeast infection. So, we used the anti-fungal crea…

My Washing Routine - Autumn Beck
After seeing so many say Tide is what they use, I decided to give it a try. My diapers are generally 'okay' and only stink once Peanut has peed in them -- but, like Venusjems said, there was never a "oh, smells fresh" feeling jus…

Spring life is popping up!
Spring? yes, but did we ever have a winter? Here in Waco (central Texas), winter never really came. I think it actually froze twice, in November! I am hoping to put seedlings out next week (spring break).

I need a crash course
I have a BS in Zoology and the book, Taking Charge of your Fertility (which I wrote a review of here: http://youngernews.blogspot.com/2011/11/book-review-taking-charge-of-your.html, taught me tons and tons about how a woman's body works. Cervi…

My Washing Routine - Autumn Beck
9 months into cd and I'm still figuring out the wash routine. I use pockets and fitteds that need stuffing. Stuffing includes prefolds, microfiber inserts, and hemp inserts. Currently this is my method: Kenmore Front Loader, soft-ish water whi…

Please introduce yourself!
Howdy, folks -- I'm Rachael. I have a 9 1/2 month old little skinny boy who I have used CD with since he was about a week old. I knew I wanted to cloth diaper and Hubby loved the savings it allowed, so off I went. I got a slew of pockets and p…

Cloth Diapering with a Skinny Baby
I have similar issues with my very skinny baby boy... 31 inches and 18 lbs at 9 months. I've found I have to increase the absorbancy in the diaper (pockets) or change more often. but with fitteds and covers, I almost never have such issues, an…
