Big Kiddos Need Big Diaps!
If your daughter grew out of bumgenius she will not fit into flip covers, what packgal recommended, because they are essentially the same diaper. I would agree that perhaps flats would be big enough, but I'm not positive. I think most "mar…

Have you tried disinfecting? I think some people use Grapefruit extract.. I believe that's what can be used...I think Autumn might mention something about it in her recent post about washing.

looking for specific style of pocket diaper
Charlie Banana (CB) has a similar style to a BG 4.0 in that regard. In pretty much every other way it is similar to Fuzzi Bunz. Edited to add that Charlie Banana is more expensive then BG. I think you will have a hard time finding a diaper with thi…

I used Green Mountain Diaper prefolds with Rumparooz newborn covers...it worked well for me, and since I am planning on having more kids the cost was not to much of an issue. You could always try placing microfleece inside the prefolds, or perhaps s…

question on insert doubling?
Microfiber absorbs faster then your bamboo options, so you want the microfiber to be placed on top of the bamboo, that way when the microfiber can absorb the sudden release of liquid, and then the bamboo will absorb what soaks through, and not get o…

Wetting through bumgenius 4.0s
Try placing a hemp insert below the microfiber inserts.... CottonBabies (who make BumGenius) make a product called HempBabies. They are reasonably priced, not bulky, and very absorbent. They absorb slower then microfiber though, so make sure that yo…

unusual question about nighttime pullup options.
I've heard side snapping diapers work well as pull ups...but I'm not sure there would be one that would fit your son. The largest range I've heard of is 40 lbs.

I agree with Autumn about Sustainablebabyish (what a tongue twister!) Although I do find them to be a bit pricey.

Diaper Rash
Caitlin-You are pretty much following my routine (except we use rock n green) and we've been lucky enough to be rash free. The only other thing I could think of would be to bump up your hot water tank a notch before washing to get a hotter wash…

Bulky Diapers-help!
My daughter is 7 weeks old, and about 11 lbs...yes they are bulky, but I don't think it will hinder them learning how to move or anything like that. I figure a lot of other babies have learned how to do everything with "diaper butt". …

What kind of wipes are you using? Warm water, a baby wash cloth and a few minutes spent air drying at every change might help. I'm using cloth wipes, and a spray bottle with a few drops of kisslavus diaper lotion potion, some witch hazel, and …

Hi All!
I would recommend purchasing several different cloth diapers and see what works for your baby before investing in one specific brand... every baby is different and diapers can fit different.

I have never used either of those brands, but just so you know most "one-size" diapers do not fit at birth...they usually start fitting at around 10 lbs (about 3 months), so you if you go that route you will need to purchase some newborn s…

CD, liners & diaper creams: washing all of the above
