Four Awesome Thirsties Cloth Diaper Accessories

Thirsties released a new One Sized diaper last month. I was checking it out (and picking one up for Sophia) and I went looking on their website to see what else was available. This got me thinking about all the other Thirsties products I love.

I tend to be really picky about quality. I think that if someone is going to make something they better make it right! Things should not be falling apart a month after you buy them! That is part of the reason I am a big fan of Thirsties. I think they make a high quality product that really lasts and it’s all made right here in the USA!

I am not talking about diapers today, but instead all the stuff that goes with them! Who doesn’t love a good accessory, right?

Fab Wipes

Thirsties Fab Wipes are available in packs of 6 in boy or girl colors. They are 8″ x 8″ and are 2 ply. One side is textured cotton velour that is good for wiping poo. The other side is microfleece for drying. Cloth wipes are great for diaper changes, but also have so many other uses. Since these are so soft you can easily use them to clean noses or faces. They also work really well on any other mess you may throw at them.

We have a whole stash of these. I literally use these ALL THE TIME! Ours have been in use for 17 months now, getting washed about every 3 days. They are still in amazing condition. We have the girly assortment and the colors are still quite vibrant. Our Fab wipes are still the same size (no shrinkage) as when they were new and just as soft. I have had to cut a few stray strings off the surging around the outside, but nothing crazy. These wipes are real workhorses and worth every penny.

Booty Luster

This is available in a 4oz or 8 oz size. Cloth diaper safe wipes solution spray. Smells of lavender and contains: Organic Aloe Vera Juice (Aloe barbadensis), Calendula Flower (Calendula officinalis), Chamomile Flower (Matricaria recutita), Lavender Flower (Lavendula officinalis), Oregon Grape Root (Mahonia aquafolium), Witch Hazel Bark (Hamamelis virginiana), Vegetable Glycerin, Lavender Essential Oil, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid

I like to use the 4 oz bottle in my diaper bag. It is the perfect size and is the perfect companion to our Fab Wipes.

Fab Doublers

These are made out of 3 layers of cotton velour. They come in packs of 3 and are available in 2 sizes: Small 4″x 12  and Large 4.5″x14″. They are perfect to increase absorbency in pretty much any cloth diaper. They are perfectly sized and buttery soft. I like these as an inexpensive daytime doubler.

Hemp Inserts

These are made from 6 layers of hemp and cotton blend knit jersey. They are available in a 2-pack in 2 sizes: Small 5”x12” and Large 5.5” x 14.5”. These shrink 10% after washing and take at least 3 full wash cycles to reach full absorbency. (Please note that you have to wash any insert containing hemp by itself at least once to get rid of its natural oils.)

These are part of my absolute FAVORITE nighttime solution. We use 2 large Thirsties Hemp Inserts under the inserts in our Kawaii Goodnight Heavy Wetters. My heavy wetter is totally dry every single morning. These wash well and wear well. They can be used day or night by placing under an existing insert. You want them under something because these are a slow and stable absorber, so you want something that can absorb pee fast (like cotton) on top of it.

I highly recommend these to anyone wanting to add more absorbency to any diaper with out adding bulk.
