If you have a top loader just fill the machine and add 1/4 cup bleach. Then let agitate. Then add diapers. The bleach won't ruin the colors. HOWEVER, if you don't check each manufacturer's instructions on washing you could void the warranty. If you have a FL, add the bleach to the compartment. I'd water it down first since I'm not exactly sure how the FL machines dispense the bleach.

Just a few drops of TTO like I normally use? I'm not sure if my diapers are bleach safe....is the bleach for colors just as good or use clorox and let them fade? I have fuzzi bunz, mommy touch, tweedle bugs, nifty nappy, rocky mountain, and amp. 1/4 c bleach? Sorry you need to spell this out for me I know you've got tons going on yourself...thanks for the help

Autumn...
So I have a slew up products noe but wondering how I should use them. I got TTO, liquid clorox, Calgon, oxyclean and my country save of course. I have med hard water so how often should I use a dose of Calgon - and when? First rinse? Hot soak? Hot wash?

TTO...1x a week? Cold rinse cycle? Or when? And how many drops?

Oxyclean...again...how often and which part or my wash routine.

Again...when with the bleach. Monthly? How much?

Lastly, can I do Calgon And TTO together in the same wash routine? Or oxy and Calgon in the same routine?

Thank you so much. Dealing with nasty rashes. Destashing my fleece stash for fitteds Anf PFs and also eliminating citrus from my diet as DD is EBF. Thanks a million!!!!

You wouldn't want to add ACV to the wash. TTO is just as good (I like it better) as GFSE. Personally, I'd add bleach (as long as the diapers you have say that's fine) b/c going through the whole yeast cycle over and over isn't fun.

I think my son has a yeast rash. I'm clearing it up by going to disposables and putting diluted apple cidar vinegar on it and triple paste. I'm wondering about my cloth diapers now. I don't want him to get the rash back. I usually put a few drops of tea tree oil in the washer when I do laundry. I see the article above says 2 tsp to disinfect...is this enough to kill the yeast? Should I just go buy grapefruit seed extract? I read in another post about 75 drops to kill yeast. I guess I'm wondering if people use white vinegar in the wash and apple cidar vinegar kills yeast why can't I just dump that into the wash to kill the yeast. Would that work? Would it be about 1/2 a cup or would I need more. I really want the yeast dead before I put him back into those diapers. I've never had this problem in a year of cloth diapering so just full of questions

I just use the Clorox liquid bleach. If you have a FL add it to the bleach compartment. If you have a TL fill the basin and add it to the water before adding the diapers.

If there is still yeast in the diapers I'd go with bleach. The good/bad news is poop will bother her whether in cloth or sposies. So at least that temptation to throw in the towel is lessened! If the only thing that helps is applying a barrier cream every change then I'd do it but make sure it's one that won't cause buildup. Keep an eye on your diapers for any leaking/repelling. I'm sorry you are going through this! One more thought, do you have a TL or FL? Did you make sure ALL the Dawn was rinsed out?
