		<description>Hi, Tiffany.  There are patterns that do not require a serger, just need a straight stitch and the occassional zig-zag.  For practice you can try the finishing stitch but I'm not sure it will hold up in the long run.  All this coming from a mama who only knows how to do a straight stitch that isn't very straight :P</description>

		<description>i have recently started cloth and love it so far, but i really want to make my own.  can this type of diaper be done a regular sewing machine (is an edge finishing stitch sufficient) or do i really need a serger? anyone experienced mamas have any advice to offer?

This is the first time I have sewed in 15 years and I am enjoying it! I can't wait to try fitteds and some nght time dipes next.
