I suffer from PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), a leading cause of infertility. I was so worried that I would never have a baby since right now adoption is simply not possible. Many years of struggle and stress finally lead to a surprise natural conception and a difficult pregnancy. Our baby girl is 9 months old now and so worth all that I went through to have her and the many, many years I waited for her. Infertility is so painful there is no description that can match it, but you have done a great job of spelling it out for those who don't know that painful road.

Thank you for being one of the few "fertile folk" who get it. It took 2 years and many tears before we conceived our wonderful son- and I treasure every whiff of his peach-fuzz head.

Thank you as well for the suggestion of Bac-out. It has fixed our problems with odor-retaining PUL in our Bumgenius dipes.

I too am a Mommy who tried and endured Infertility treatment for well over 8 years... I was finally able to conceive my son now 3 and my baby girl (almost 1)... I have learned never to judge those without children because you never know how they are feeling deep in there heart about not being parents, not having children... I would silently cry every time I heard the wonderful news of one of my friends conception... I secretly "hated" them for it... But, I never let it show... And believe me this is from person experience, those who tell you they were happy and really didn't want children "right now" are quietly dying inside to be that Mom (or Dad) they have always dreamed they could be...

What a great idea! I have had 2 very close friends and several acquaintances struggle with infertility. I initially assumed the same...people were "living it up" and postponing having children, but after seeing my friend go through the process of infertility treatments (while painfully dealing with questions from well meaning but ignorant people!) and ultimately adoption, I realize how quickly we are to judge and how wrong we often are!
