Hi Liz, I had a similar problem with our Rumparooz. What
kind of detergent are you using with them? RR suggest using a
detergent WITH Enzymes, where as all other diapers that I've come
across do not. As such, when we washed our RR with our other
diapers we had leak problems due to buildup (according to the RR
customer service people). Once we changed to an Enzyme detergent we
had no more problems, and luckily our daughter did not react to the
enzymes. So I'd start there and see if that helps. Check out their
website for recommended detergents.

Are you making sure that the insert is fully covering the inside of the pocket?

I bought my three Rumparooz diapers because the prints were so darn cute, and I liked the double gusset idea. sadly, these are my least trusty diaper, and I bought 5 separate varieties! They're almost certain to leak, and my little boy is only three months old. I'm not sure if the fit is wrong, or what, but it's driving me crazy. I wash them in the same load as my other diapers and they all work great, it's just these that leak at the top and legs. But, I'll admit, I've never had a blowout. But I've never had a blowout with any of my cloth diapers.... Anybody have any suggestions?

I plan to use these as well. I have ordered several and also registered for them. I'm expecting twins between now and mid Jan. I was wondering if you thought it would be a good investment to order the lil' joey's as well. The smallest setting on the One-size Rumparooz is for 5 lbs and up (i think). I ordered 2 lil' joey's but didn't wanna spend too much on them since the One-size goes down to XS.

[...] Rumparooz: Rumparooz are my favorite pocket because they have every favorite feature all in one diaper. The “poop scoop” is a real winner with dads…no leaks = “honey, I want a whole stash of these.” I prefer the Rumparooz pocket over the Bum Genius pocket because the flap on the Bum Genius (although meant to be a helper) gets in my way and makes things messier- for me anyways Microchamois inner makes spraying or rinsing or plopping easy. Rumparooz review. [...]

1) I always recommend trying many different brands. You just can't know what will work for your baby until you try it on.
2) Sell the ones you hate/don't use. Re-diaper.com offers an easy opportunity to sell or trade your diapers. Or you can also mess with diaperswappers.com.
3) For newborns, I recommend having newborn sized diapers because one-sized usually don't fit at first. Softbums would be the exception, they fit great on a newborn however they don't work well until the umbilical stump falls off.

Congratulations on #8!! You are so blessed.

Hi,
I am just curious....I am a mom of 7 with 1 more on the way (due at Christmas), and alas....I'm just now getting into the 'cloth diaper' groove! I'm really 'studying' all the different cloth diapers out there, and am just getting more confused!!! What is the difference between the hemp liners and the microfiber, and all the others?? I have recently ordered the bumGenious 4.0, Bummis Easy Fits, and gdiapers (with cloth inserts), to try....but I am really considering trying the Rumparooz also (and the Lil Joey's on my so-to-be newborn)..... Is it INSANE of me to have so many different diapers?? I have been trying to read reviews on anything that I but first, but when I finally find 'THE ONE' that I love....what do I do with the ones I hate or don't use?? I hate to waste money on something I'm not going to use!! ANY help you can offer I would appreciate it!!!

I've used Bac-out for as long as I can remember and never had a reaction to it. However, I make sure to rinse a lot. I've used Crunchy Clean, Clean B, Rockin Green, Tide, Kirkland's and Mrs. Meyers on my Rumparooz.
