Cloth Diapers, Recommended

There are a few products that I think are the bees knees! Some are things we love and often buy as gifts because they are just so awesome. And some are simply life savers in my house. This post contains affiliate links. By shopping through them you are helping to support the blog and my family and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it!

Best Baby, Cloth Diaper and Cleaning Products of 2015

Heart Felt Wool Dryer Balls

These are amazing! For real! In the past I had other favorites, but they had an early demise and unraveled on me sooner that I had hoped. But not these! I’ve had mine since 2013 and they are still going strong! You may ask what is the point? Well…they help to keep the laundry separated while it tumbles in the dryer. They also absorb a bit of the moisture to help further speed drying. I was able to cut almost 19 minutes off of an average drying cycle once I added about 8-10 of these. You can find more info on why wool dryer balls are amazing here. I want to note these are the top rated dryer balls on amazon and the ONLY ones that are handmade with 100% pure New Zealand NATURAL WOOL to the core. I highly recommend you buy 2 sets for yourself and a few others for your friends! Use code 5EYH2FFC at checkout and get 10% off the second set!

Sophia received these in one of those subscription toy boxes when she was a little over a year old. She is now 3.5 and STILL plays with them all.the.time! I buy these as gifts for my friend’s kids. Like I said, babies and kids love them. They are made in the USA of 100% recycled materials with no BPA, Phthalates, PVC or external coatings. My crunchy and not so crunchy friends alike love them.

Easy@Home 50 Ovulation Test Strips and 20 Pregnancy Test Strips Kit

If you are trying to get pregnant and it’s taken longer than 3 months. You should get some ovulation sticks to pee on. They tell you when it is that magical time of the month has arrived so you can do the deed and hopefully get a BFP (big fat positive) the next month.

Pooters Skin Therapy

Ok, so….Sophia has had an eczema rash that I just couldn’t make a dent in. It’s around where her night diapers and panties hit so creams are often easily rubbed away. I needed something thick enough, but still easy to put on and healing enough that it would work. I’ve tried all my old favorites and the only one that has helped is the Pooters Skin Therapy. If you, your baby or anyone in your family has eczema, this is one I would look into!

Potty Book for Girls

Sophia was having trouble potty training last year. I got on amazon looking for anything that would help. I found this adorable little book and I’m SO HAPPY I bought it. Sophia read it so many times that she could actually remember the whole book word for word and repeated it herself. I truly feel it made a difference to her confidence that she COULD go pee and poop on the potty. Here’s a little quote from the book and a picture of the back cover.

Twinkie Tush night nights

If you are looking for a perfect nighttime cloth diaper solution…look no further. When I tested the Twinkie Tush night night in my absorbency tests it literally sucked up 37 ounces in a few seconds! That’s more liquid than a 1 liter soda bottle can hold. I was actually blown away. I use them at night as well and can attest that they truly are the most absorbent fitteds you will find on the market. Pair with a wool, fleece or PUL cover and you have a bulletproof night solution. They are on the pricey side, but if you’ve been struggling with wet pj’s and sheets then it is so worth it!

Mrs. Meyers Fabric Softener (lavender)

I have said this before and I will say it again! I LOVE this stuff. It’s as close as I get to a ‘spa’ experience nowadays. It is cloth diaper safe (because it is plant based) if used occasionally. I use it on all my laundry and it leaves everything so smooshy soft! I am not lying when I say that the smell is so amazing that I actually stick my head in my washer to take a whiff. You only need a tiny bit to get the job done so the bottle lasts surprisingly long. Do yourself a favor and treat all your laundry to something amazing!

Geffen Baby Jersey Hemp Prefolds

Seriously BUY ALL THE GEFFEN! Not a prefold user? Neither am I. But you just pad fold (one side in, then the other) and you can lay or stuff in any cover. They are the most absorbent insert/anything I tested in my Absorbency Tests. It’s the only thing I can use one of during the day and still have my heavy wetter dry after two hours. Some hemp gets scratchy after a while. NOT this stuff. Two years later and it is still buttery soft. I called these a game changer and I meant it!

Thirsties Fab Wipes

I remember when I was washing up baby stuff getting ready for the arrival of my daughter, Sophia. It was more than 3.5 years ago now. Those Thirsties Fab Wipes I had look pretty much the same as they did that first wash. And that says a lot because I can’t even imagine how many times I’ve washed them in that time. Hundreds I guess. I can honestly say that of the first 60 Fab Wipes I started with I’ve only had one causality and a few short loose stings I’ve cut off. We use them for butts and noses. They are soft enough to not rub your nose raw in the middle of the biggest cold of your life. One super soft side and one grippier micro-terry side to clean poo easier. When someone brings up cloth wipes, I always recommend these! Better hurry though because once these are sold old they are gone! Thirsties just came out with organic cotton version that is replacing the Fab Wipes. They feel just as fabulous as the old ones. I’m pretty confident that they will stand the test of time just as my old ones have!  Plus, for a limited time when you buy a set of the Organic Cotton Wipes you also get an 8 oz bottle of Thirsties Booty Luster free! I love that stuff as well!

Instant Pot 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker

This isn’t a baby, cloth diaper or cleaning product, but it’s so amazing I couldn’t leave it off. If you are in any mommy chat groups, you may have heard rumbling about this thing. I ignored most of it for months now. But I have one friend that keeps posting pictures of these yummy meals shes made in under 10 minutes. Or how she made yogurt in it! 84% of the more than 6,000 reviews on amazon gave it 5 stars. I broke down and ordered one. I do not regret it!

Those dryer balls are the best! I got them when my washer stopped spinning properly to use while we waited for our new washer to arrive and they worked beautifully!
