Hi Autumn, just wanted to thank you for the recommendation. I was on the hunt for new cloth diapers when my second son was born last December and I was feeling stuck. I was a firm believer in the bg organic aio's despite the velcro disaster and that they were falling apart. And let's not forget the endless drying time which is an issue when you have to use commercial machines. I had hoped they would make through two babies. I had ordered a snap version and a few other brands and then so your review and took the plunge and ordered the grasshoppers. They are absolutely my favorite diaper ever. Trim, absorbent, well made and with the liner an awesome overnight diaper. And in a pinch the mediums have worked on my 31lb 2 yr old. So thank you for your review. You saved me a lot of time, money, frustration and disappointment! Thanks!

Trenna, Grasshopper diapers are still awesome. When I sold all the other diapers but my BG organics I kept the Grasshoppers too. Love them. Poop stays contained and we don't have leaks.

Do you have any updates on how the Grasshopper diaper has worked for you? You mention the BG Organic still, all the time ... you list the Grasshopper for trimness and fit but has it performed well in other ways? Thanks!

Autumn
I have a one year old and was bound and bent on NOT using disposables when he was born. After my little guy arrived, we had a bit of a tough start.......in and out of the hospital a couple of times during the first few weeks, problems breastfeeding, etc. Anyhow, everything turned out great and he's a happy, healthy, still breastfeeding boy, but what went out the window was the cloth diapering. Still feeling VERY guilty about this, especially since I was so determined and am very concerned about the environmental impact of disposables. Anyhow, here's hoping that starting now is at least better than not starting at all. We did try gdiapers for a short time when our little one was a couple of months old, but didn't have much luck with them. I'm like the sound of the Grasshoppers, and am wondering how many/what other kinds of cloth diapers you'd recommend for me to start out with. My little one is a heavy wetter at night, so should I get a pocket style for then? I'm a bit confused. I have been reading your posts now for a few days, but am almost overwhelmed with the info. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

Krista, that's a tough one! Based on the size of your baby I'd say go with Grasshoppers. For us they have been a perfect diaper. I get sad when I don't have one clean. Wish I could reverse the number of grasshoppers I have with the number of bg organics! I also recommend the fleece topped booster. Super soft and it's nice to have a stay-dry barrier at times.

If you had to choose one (BG Organic or Grasshopper), which would it be? I was all set to buy the BG Organics until I read this review....my baby is the perfect size for a medium and it looks like we'd get lots of life out of that size.
