Before I tried the Tots Bots Easy Fit I had a hard time understanding whether it was a pocket or an all in one. None of the websites I looked at gave me a really clear picture of what the diaper was like.
This of course kept me from spending the $20+. When I got an email inviting me to participate in the re-design celebration of Diapersetc.com, in which I would be able to pick any item under $25 to review I jumped at the chance! Tots Bots Easy Fit was my product choice.
The answer to my question (is it a pocket or aio?) is yes.
My confusion during the shopping phase led to wonder how I would describe the Tots Bots Easy Fit cloth diaper so as to prevent other shoppers from the same dilemma.
Is it a pocket or an AIO?
Tots Bots Easy Fit is both a pocket and an all-in-one. But, not necessarily a pocket all-in-one
You might say it’s a pocket all-in-one with a stuffable tail.
Easy Fit cloth diapers are an all-in-one because they need nothing added to them.
Easy Fit cloth diapers are a pocket because you stuff the attached insert into the pocket.
The best part about this pocket: NO UNSTUFFING! No more digging for wet or soiled inserts.
Tots Bots Easy Fit is an excellent overnight cloth diaper when a doubler is added.
The attached insert is bamboo topped microfiber…which equals *absorbency*
The snap down rise and cross-over tabs makes this the perfect cloth diaper for more than one child.
Easy Fit cloth diapers fit from 8-35lbs.
My description is simple, but I tend to prefer simple. After using the Easy Fit then going back and reading the description on the Diapers Etc. site I feel a tad bit dumb. It seems pretty obvious what the diaper is like. But, is that because I have actually held and used one?
The Easy Fit will be on the My Recommendations page for sure. Someone just asked me in a comment, if I started from scratch today, and cost wasn’t a factor, what brand would I start buying. It would be Tots Bots Easy Fit (plus a few other brands).
PROS:
- Very absorbent
- Great coverage and fit
- Strong velcro and laundry tabs
- Easy application, easy prep
- No leaks, even at night
- Fits newborn to toddler
- Soft inner rayon bamboo next to baby’s skin
CONS:
- Crossover tab is only on one tab. I prefer it on both so I can pull either side forward first. This just happens to be on the side I don’t pull forward first.
- PUL is stiffer than other brands
After trying the Easy Fit courtesy of Diapers Etc. I ended up buying 4 more with some store credit I had at another store! This is an excellent diaper.
Diapers Etc is giving away a $25 gift certificate to their store!!!!

February 14, 2011 at 9:56 pm
They look like a nice diaper. I do have a question about washing though. The reason I prefer pockets to AIO’s is that I can tumble dry my inserts, and line dry the shells. They dry really quickly that way. If the insert is attached to the shell, do you have to line dry the whole thing then? I do like the idea of not having to pull out the soiled insert. Smartipants also has a system where you don’t have to pull out the insert. (Which is really nice.)
February 14, 2011 at 11:19 pm
You could line dry the whole thing. But, yes they are sewn together so you couldn’t separate.
February 15, 2011 at 10:12 am
Would it be okay to stick the whole thing in the dryer? (on low) I guess I had always thought that anything with the PUL should always be line dried.
February 14, 2011 at 9:53 pm
I would buy some prefolds and wipes or maybe a fleece diaper cover.

I LOVE the Tots Bots Easy Fit!!! I put it on my 2 yr old overnight w/no additional inserts/doublers and it never leaked!! It is probably the only pocket diaper I will ever buy again, just for the fact that leaks will be less due to the absorbent liner….as well as the insert comes out in the wash, just a little bonus!
February 14, 2011 at 9:20 pm
Gosh, that’s a really hard one. I’d probably buy a bumGenius or Fuzzibunz diaper or one of the cute newborn fitteds! I love those!
